Timeout

Allow you to restrict your account for a short period of time so you can’t play or deposit. You will still be able to log-in, withdraw, or look at your account history. You will still be able to receive winnings/awards from wagers or promotions earned prior to their Timeout, should terms and conditions permit. You won’t receive marketing communications while a timeout is active.

Self-exclusion

In a nutshell, self-exclusion is a way to be blocked from gambling for a longer period of time. It’s similar to timeouts, but with some key differences:

  • Typically, self-exclusion periods start at 6 months or 1 year. Depending on the state, they can last 5 years or longer, or be permanent.
  • You won’t be able to log-in to your account.
  • All marketing will stop and you won’t be eligible for any promotions.
  • Due to various state laws and regulations, the way self-exclusion works can differ.
  • If you self-exclude in one state within the app, it will prevent you from using your account in another state.
  • When your self-exclusion period ends, you may need to contact us to have your account reinstated. In some states, you must first ask the state to remove you from its list. See your state below for details.
  • If you change your mind, unfortunately, we can’t reverse your decision.
  • It’s important that you withdraw any money you have in your account before entering a self-exclusion.

Timeouts and Self-Exclusions cannot be reversed until the self-imposed time limit expires.

Arizona

Illinois

Self-exclusion is only available through the statewide program below.

  • Statewide Self-Exclusion (Illinois Gaming Board Problem Gambling Registry)
    •    Apply through the Illinois Gaming Board: http://www.igb.illinois.gov/ProblemGamblers.aspx
    •    The Illinois Self-Exclusion Program is for a mandatory minimum of five years. After five years, removal may be requested through the IGB application process.

Indiana

  • Self-Exclude from Hard Rock Bet Only (via your account)
    •    Available periods: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, or Permanent
  • Statewide Self-Exclusion — Internet Self-Restriction Program (online gaming only)
    •    Apply through the Indiana Gaming Commission ISRP.

Michigan

New Jersey

In New Jersey, a self-exclusion covers online gaming and sports wagering with all licensed operators in the state, not just Hard Rock Bet. You can request one in either of the two ways below.

  • Statewide self-exclusion through your Hard Rock Bet account
    •    Available periods: 1 year, 5 years
  • Statewide self-exclusion through the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement
    •    Apply through the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement: https://www.njportal.com/dge/selfexclusion
    •    Available periods: 1 year, 5 years
    •    A Lifetime exclusion requires a scheduled in-person or video conference appointment with the DGE. See the DGE Self-Exclusion Portal instructions to schedule.
  • Ending a New Jersey Self-Exclusion
    •    Your self-exclusion does not end on its own. You stay on the DGE list until you ask the DGE to remove you.
    •    You can ask for removal only after your 1-year or 5-year period has passed. A Lifetime exclusion cannot be removed.
    •    Request removal through the DGE Self-Exclusion Portal: https://www.njportal.com/dge/selfexclusion, or call the DGE at 1-833-788-4DGE to arrange a video conference or an in-person visit.
    •    The DGE has up to 5 business days to process a removal. Once you have been removed, contact us and we will confirm it before reopening your account.

Ohio

  • Self-Exclude from Hard Rock Bet Only (via your account)
    •    Available periods: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, or Permanent
  • Statewide Self-Exclusion (all Ohio gaming operators)

Tennessee

Virginia
